This text has been written in response to the theory L test which will be in place from July 1996, and which pupils will have to pass before being eligible for the practical driving test. Driving instructors will have to learn a whole range of unfamiliar skills if they are to succeed in this area, and if they are to keep clients for the practical stages of the test, it is vital that they do succeed. The book deals with the problem of obtaining pupils, interesting them, practical teaching skills, and generally how to ensure pupils get the best training to get them through the theory test.
