Part 2 Physical insults and structural lesions causing coma: herniations; intracranial hemorrhage; trauma; neoplasia; hypothermia and hyperthermia; electrical injuries; burn encephalopathy. Part 3 Impaired consciousness and inflammatory conditions: CNS infections; other inflammatory diseases affecting CNS - sepsis-associated encephalopathy, collagen-vascular diseases, acute disseminated encephalomyelitis, "toxic encephalopathy" and Reye's syndrome.
