This work represents a systematic presentation of the subject of greenhouses. Part 1 deals with aspects of successful greenhouse management: siting, heating, cooling, ventilating, the merits of different designs and of the various types of materials used in their construction. Part 2 provides an analysis of the various growing media available, followed by technical instructions for the successful cultivation of a range of greenhouse plants, from tomatoes and chrysanthemums to orchids and alpine plants.
