1 Corinthians Zusammenfassung

1 Corinthians: A Devotional Commentary for Study and Preaching Jerome Murphy-O'Connor

The People's Bible Commentary (PBC) is designed for all those who want to study the scriptures in a way that will warm the heart as well as instruct the mind. Paul's first letter to the Christians in Corinth was written to help them live out their faith in one of the largest and most notorious cities in the ancient world. He had to provide teaching to help them grapple with such questions as 'what does "freedom in Christ" mean?', 'how should believers practice the gifts of the Spirit?' and 'what is the role of women in the worshipping community?' The apostle's worlds of confrontation, correction, reconciliation and blessing still resonate in our lives today.
