Walking in West Cork offers an incredible variety of choice - mountainous peaks, rolling heaths, forested valleys, pristine lakes and sandy beaches - the choice is yours.

Casual strollers, family groups, ramblers and serious walkers are all catered for.

LOCATION OF WALKS: The Gearagh (near Macroom), Ballyvourney, Gougane Barra, Bere Island, Castlefreke (near Rosscarbery), Lough Hyne (near Skibbereen), Mizen Head, Priest's Leap (near Glengarriff), Glengarriff and Allihies.

West Cork Walks Bewertungen

'... an expert and informative book ... Kevin Corcoran is a dab hand at drawing, whether plant or landscapes or his carefully explicit maps' -- Michael Viney, The Irish Times

An ardent advocate of sustainable living with the natural environment, he presently lives as an Eco-dweller and rejects all forms of mass consumerism. Much of his free time is spent hill walking, sketching, writing and recording the demise of our natural environment. Kevin's books of walks are the result of extensive study of the areas and their natural habitats, flora and fauna, wildlife. As well as giving clear instructions and detailed maps, the books are beautifully illustrated by the author himself. KEVIN CORCORAN has an intimate knowledge and love of the Irish landscape.
