Biodiversity: A Biology of Numbers and Difference Kevin J. Gaston
Particularly since the Rio conference on the global environment, the term biodiversity is being increasingly used in both the scientific community and the public domain. However, the term has as yet no precise definition in scientific terms. In a series of reviews, the authors of this volume explore in-depth the primary scientific issues of biodiversity, defining the current status of the science, and setting the research agenda for the future.
