When alcoholic housewife Julia begins to pack up her grandmother's house, she unleashes a nightmare from her past, long buried in her memory: the spirit of a dead child with a story to tell.

With each visit from the malevolent wraith, her already-strained relationship with her husband intensifies, until he begins conspiring with Julia's hated stepmother, Caroline, further dividing the couple.
