The Surrealist World of Desmond Morris Michael Remy
This book covers the whole range of Morris' output (nearly 1000 paintings in 45 years) demonstrating the complexity and gradual development of his surrealist world. His paintings have taken him into a landscape inhabited by biomorphic figures that have slowly evolved from one canvas to the next. This personal world, full of ambiguous dramas and startling encounters of sexuality, humour, joy and violence, is subjected to close scrutiny by the French art historian, Michel Remy. The author also wrote "Le Mouvement Surrealiste en Angleterre".
