The second edition of this book will build on the clarity and user-friendliness of the first edition, but reflect that thinking on Nursing Models, and their role in the planning and delivery of care has developed considerably. There will be a much greater emphasis on developing shared care involving the patient. New developments in care planning will be reflected, including critical pathways, and the role of models in Quality Assurance and Audit. The book will remain practical and critical in style, encouraging a creative response to the use of models in nursing care.
