This is an account based on interviews with women who have already had a hysterectomy giving supportive information on pre-operative fears, descriptions of the procedures involved in surgery, and advice on being able to go back to work and a regular aerobics class. It is aimed at those who have already had a hysterectomy, those who are contemplating the operation, their families and friends, GP's, nurses and surgeons so that they may be better equipped to inform the patients appropriately and to offer the best possible support and care.
