"Terrell presents tables with verses by the apostle Paul followed by a list of parallels, echoes, or like-minded quotes from Old and New Testament passages as well as from recently translated extant biblical material. The passages are quoted in full from the King James Bible. In a first section, she draws from Luke's gospel and Acts of the Apostles to provide what she calls a sacred, factual, eyewitness account of Paul's life and activities, which can provide a context for the letters. The main section takes the Pauline epistles in turn, chapter and verse. "This volume presents in tabular format Paul's verses and the pertinent material in Acts, followed by a row of parallels, echoes, or like-minded quotes from the OT and NT resources as well as other recently translated extant biblical materials. After a five-page introduction and four maps, it provides in the Acts section on pp. 1-151 the 'theme' of each verse in the first column next to the verse itself and analogous citations aligned in a columnar format. The Pauline section (pp. 153-924) treats the letters in their canonical order from Romans to Philemon. Each row begins with a 'theme' offering a simple theology for the verse or pericope to which it applies. Paul's verse appears next to the other resources from the NT, Jewish writings, and other relevant materials. The King James Bible serves as the reference text throughout.
