Entrepreneurial Economics is concerned with the role of entrepreneurs, and the nature and scope of entrepreneurship in the economy. It broadly covers a range of economic and non-economic theories of the characteristics and behaviour of entrepreneurs. Also considered are government policies to increase the number of entrepreneurs in the economy and social entrepreneurship linked to economic development. It includes illustrations of successful entrepreneurs and more detailed case-studies.

Über R. McQuaid

KEITH GLANCEY is strategic planning director for a company providing seed capital and management services to new technology ventures. He was formerly a Lecturer in Economics at Napier University, Edinburgh and has published widely on entrepreneurship in a variety of books and international journals

RONALD W. MCQUAID is Senior Lecturer in Economics at Napier University, Edinburgh. He has postgraduate degrees from the London School of Economics and Harvard University and has published a number of books and articles on economic development issues and on entrepreneurship. He has acted as a consultant to local, national and supranational agencies and firms
