At its simplest, this book is an exploration of color. By understanding the fundamentals of colorwork and successful color combinations, the first part of the book celebrates green. The second part of the book features 6 patchwork projects (4 quilts and 2 small projects) that showcase this single color through a series of one or two colored projects.
Simple piecing appeals to a broad range of quilters, from those looking for a quick project through to an intermediate of adventurous beginner.

I was so excited to receive this book, having written about colours in gardening myself. This book has wonderful projects. Four quilts and two smaller projects featuring green. I love all the projects, especially the quilts. Fresh, clean design enhanced by the colour green. The colours and designs are great. The instructions are clear, there are templates and everything looks good. The colour theory section takes up a third of this book and quite frankly it could have been done in half a dozen pages and I would have liked to see more projects. You can, of course, substitute your own colours on any of the designs.

Über Vanessa Christenson

Vanessa Christenson is a wife and mother of four. They run her world, but when they are at work and school, she runs her pattern and fabric design company, V and Co. She has produced three lines of fabric with Moda Fabrics and published Make It Sew Modern with Martingale in 2012.
Her popular pattern line features designs for handbags, quilts, sewn accessories and home decor. This She lives in Marion, Iowa.
