Contents page lists the whole book. First printing in book form. Pages are moderately tanned and foxed throughout. Plates are moderately tanned with heavy foxing. Minor pencil marking to front free end-paper. Heavy cracking at hinges and gutters, with exposed binding thread. Some pages repaired with tape. Sections hanging by binding thread. Page 107 torn. Boards have heavy edge-wear with bumping to corners, and rub wear all over. Boards are hanging off, held by single binding thread. Moderate crushing to spine ends, with splitting, fraying and loss to the head, tail and joints. Peeling and loss to leather elements. Gilt lettering is darkened.
