Black and white illustrative plates within, all present as expected. Pages are moderately tanned and thumbed at the edges, with moderate foxing. Binding is slightly shaky, with moderate cracking to hinges and gutters. Ex libris plate and faint, half-erased pencil inscription to front pastedown. Sporadic mild stains to pages, text remains clear. Boards have been moderately rub worn. Noticeable shelf wear to edges. Corners are bumped and a little frayed. Spine ends are crushed, with noticeable splits, chips, and aprox 1 inch of cloth lost from spine head with slight loss of gilt lettering. Boards a little rubbed and marked overall, particularly spine. Tanning to spine and edges. Boards are bowed. Book has a forward lean. Slight droplet marks to boards and spine.
