Speckled text block edges. Binding remains firm. Pages are moderately tanned and foxed throughout. Pencil inscription to front free end paper. Thumb-marking present. Heavier tanning to text block edges. Crinkling of paper to gutters. Boards have heavy edge-wear with bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends and rub wear all over. Pronounced liquid marks to bottom edge of both boards. Heavy crushing to spine ends with 2cm portion missing from top of spine. Gilt lettering is darkened.
