About Anna McNay

Anna McNay comes from an academic background, as a doctoral candidate, tutor, and lecturer in German and Linguistics at the University of Oxford, and an Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellow at the Humboldt University in Berlin. She is also a qualified and experienced CELTA tutor. Frances Aviva Blane is a painter working in london. She studied post grad painting at The Slade. She is a Jerwood Award winner and won a scholarship to work at Djerassi Artist colony. Blane has exhibited in the John Moores Painting Prize and Trinity Buoy Wharf drawing prize. She showed with Bacon and Bourgeois in Belgium and in 2016/2017 had a solo show at the German Embassy in London. She has had solo shows both in London and Europe. She is represented by Zuleika Gallery (London and Woodstock), De Queeste Art in Belgium and EcArtspace. She is the subject of various films made by Penny Woolcock including Two Metres Apart with Susie orbach and ON PAINTING. Her recent publications include on painting with Sacha Craddock.
