About Anna Pavlova

Russian ballerina Anna Pavlova was inspired to enter into the world of ballet after seeing a performance of the Sleeping Beauty with her mother. After much ingenuity and hard work she became a prima ballerina at the Mariinsky Theater, fulfilling her childhood dream. The French Impressionist artist Edgar Degas is perhaps most famous for his paintings and drawings of the ballet dancers of the Paris Opera.
