This is a fiction interweaving three characters: Jack Johnson, who punched his way out of the dockyards of Galveston to become the first black heavyweight champion of the world; the English modernist poet Mina Loy; and, Arthur Cravan, the Dadaist provocateur who was competing for Mina's heart.
