About Charles Blackmore

Charles Blackmore read archaeology at university before spending fourteen years as an army officer. He now works in a merchant bank. His first book, "In the Footsteps of Lawrence of Arabia," was published in 1986. He has travelled extensively and led three significant expeditions. He lives in Hampshire with his wife and three sons.
