Ellen O'Malley, a victim of the Great Famine loses her husband, and is duped into going to Australia, leaving behind three of her children. She travels aboard a coffin ship and arrives emaciated and ill with her new baby. But Ellen, rises above her oppression and returns to wreak her revenge.
