Modelling the Mitsubishi A6M Zero Summary

Modelling the Mitsubishi A6M Zero by Brian Criner

The Mitsubishi A6M Zero was an aircraft that had near mythical performance qualities in terms of speed, range, climb and manoeuverability, and its performance made it an infamous weapon in the Japanese arsenal. This aircraft has been a popular modelling subject, and there are a variety of scales and types by model manufacturers and aftermarket companies. This book showcases four individual models representing different variants of the Zero, each in different scales and with varying weathering and finishing techniques, reflecting different periods of World War 2, and the different environments in which the aircraft served.

About Brian Criner

Brian Criner became interested in modelling at the age of nine when his grandfather bought him a model of a P-51 and told him he would receive a silver dollar if he built it for him. His interest has remained strong ever since. Brian currently works a biology teacher in a small high school in southern California. He has three children (Andrew, Lauren, and Daniel), and when not modelling enjoys biking and reading. This is his first book for Osprey Publishing.
