About

Anne Pettigrew is a Glasgow-born author, a former General Practitioner, and a graduate in medicine from the University of Glasgow (1974) and the University of Oxford (2004). She has contributed to The Herald and medical newspapers as a columnist in addition to her primary work in psychiatry and women's health. Her well-received novels Not The Life Imagined and Not The Deaths Imagined reflect on the experience of Scottish women doctors from the sixties to the eighties. Runner-up in the SAW Constable Award 2018, Anne was chosen as a Crime Spotlight Author at Bloody Scotland Book Festival at Stirling in 2019. Currently, she is the President of Greenock Writers Club.
