Using Materials focuses on the uses of a wide range of different materials, their applications, properties and why certain materials are selected for particular roles. Images help pupils to see these materials' uses, from the everyday to the unusual. The books explain where the materials come from and whether they are natural or man-made. They promote discussion regarding the sustainability of materials and the environmental impact.
