About Cary N. Prague

About the Authors Cary Prague is an internationally known best--selling author and lecturer in the database industry. He is the president of Database Creations, Inc. the world's largest Microsoft Access add--on company. This direct--mail company creates and markets add--on software, books, and video training for personal computer databases. Cary also manages a very successful consulting company which is a Microsoft Certified Solution Provider, specializing in Microsoft Access application development. He is one of the best--selling authors in the computer database management market, having written over 40 books (which have sold nearly one million copies) on software including Microsoft Access, Borland's dBASE IV, Paradox, R:Base, and Framework. Cary's books include eight different editions of the Microsoft Access Bible. Other books have included Access 97 Secrets, dBASE for Windows Handbook, dBASE IV Programming (winner of the Computer Press Association's Book of the Year award for Best Software Specific Book), and Everyman's Database Primer Featuring dBASE IV. Cary is certified in Access as a Microsoft Certified Professional and has passed the MOUS test in end--user subjects in Access and Word. He is a frequent speaker at seminars and conferences around the country. Cary holds a Master of Computer Science degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and an M.B.A and Bachelor of Accounting degree from the University of Connecticut. He is also a Certified Data Processor. Jennifer Reardon is considered a leading developer of custom database applications. She has over 10 years' experience developing client/server and PC--based applications. She has accumulated much of her application development experience working as lead developer for Database Creations. She has worked with Cary Prague to develop applications for many Fortune 500 companies. Ms. Reardon owns her own consulting firm, Advanced Software Concepts, which provides custom applications to both the public and private sectors. She has contributed several chapters for books on dBase and Microsoft Access, including the Microsoft Access 2000 Bible, Microsoft Access 97 Bible, and Access 97 Secrets, published by IDG Books. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts. Lawrence S. Kasevich is presently vice president of development for Database Creations, Inc. He oversees the consulting division and manages the project efforts for numerous clients and new product development. Before joining Database Creations, Mr. Kasevich was an independent consultant assisting companies with their information and project management needs. He is currently a member of the adjunct faculty at Rennselear Polytechnic Institute where he has been teaching information systems courses since 1989. His previous books include Mastering Framework III, Windcrest Books., 1989, Controlling Your Resources, TAB Books, Inc., 1986, Framework II, TAB Books, Inc., 1986, Using Framework - A Pictorial Guide, TAB Books, Inc., 1985. Phan currently serves as director of information & technical services/developer for Database Creations, Inc. In this capacity he heads the support team for in--house support as well as customer technical support to end users and developers. He is also a member of the development and consulting team for the full line of Database Creations, Inc. products as well as numerous consulting projects for many Fortune 500 companies. He has been programming and developing and conducting training with Access for over five years and has had over 12 years of computer experience. Diana Reid is responsible for managing the daily operations of Database Creations, Inc. She is responsible for the company's e--commerce site and all Webrelated activities, including design and programming of the company's Web site and client Web sites. She is a contributing editor for several books on Microsoft Access and has been a technical editor for many of the Access Bible books. She also is a speaker at Microsoft sponsored developer conferences, speaking on Frontpage, HTML and many other Web technologies. Ms. Reid received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Central Connecticut State University in 1991.
