About Colin Dexter

Colin Dexter won many awards for his novels including the CWA Gold Dagger and Silver Dagger awards. In 1997 he was presented with the CWA Cartier Diamond Dagger Award for outstanding services to crime literature. Colin's thirteenth and final Inspector Morse novel, The Remorseful Day, was published in 1999. He lived in Oxford until his death in 2017. Kevin Whately is well known for his role as the long-suffering Sergeant Lewis in the incredibly popular TV series Inspector Morse. His other television credits include Footprints in the Snow, Dad , Peak Practice and Auf Wiedersehen Pet. He has read many other audio books for Macmillan, which include Colin Dexter's Inspector Morse novels; Death is Now My Neighbour, The Daughters of Cain, The Wench is Dead and Morse's Greatest Mysteries.
