Project Risk Management Summary

Project Risk Management: An Essential tool for Managing and Controlling Projects by D Van Well-Stam

A project is never without risks. An unforeseen problem or requirement can delay the whole process, causing havoc for everyone involved. Risk management is a structured form of risk control that unearths possible bottlenecks early and thus ensures that a project is both better managed and controlled. Project Risk Management is a practical and concise book that outlines a tried and tested approach that has been used successfully on a number of large projects. The book is broken down into two parts: Section 1 explores risk analysis and how to control risk; Section 2 looks at putting these ideas into practice and how risk management can be implemented in different types of project and at different stages; The book is written by experienced project risk managers and includes detailed case studies (including Euro 2000) which are used to illustrate the theory.
