Undoubtedly the author's wide experience of different cultures (in Scotland, America, South Africa and Australia) have helped him to face up to and deal with questions which are being raised by newly-converted people today.
-- Michael Bentley, Evangelical Times
1 & 2 Timothy and Titus, commonly known as the pastoral epistles, are Paul's last letters before his martyrdom. Although written in the first century, they deal with many contemporary issues relating to church life today, including the inspiration and the authority of Scripture: characteristics of church leaders: the role of women and the nature of holiness. The text is systematically discussed, and is divided into digestible sections. The exposition is solid and Biblical. At the end of each section, there are study questions picking up on key themes and providing further scripture references. This commentary could be used for personal study, or as a basis for group work.
The three 'R's of 'Christian Focus' are Readability, Reliability and Relevance, and this book achieves these objectives.

This is a valuable resource that will promote better understanding of these much neglected epistles and their message.
