Buffy the Vampire Slayer, protector of Sunnydale (and the world!) is dead; killed saving her sister Dawn from the mad, evil god, Glory. Her friends are trying to get on with their lives, but things aren't looking too good for Willow, Xander, and the gang; between them, there's enough anger, frustration, loss, guilt, and tragedy to resurrect an ancient demon...and its food is the grief of Buffy's nearest and dearest.
