About Helen F Wilson

Helen F. Wilson is a social and cultural geographer at the University of Manchester, UK, with interests in the politics and possibilities of living with difference, more-than-human geographies, and social theory. Her current work focuses on the geographies of encounter as a way of interrogating how difference and otherness take shape. She has also published on mobilities, forms of dialogue, conflict mediation, everyday multiculture and the politics of tolerance. She is co-editor of the recently published Encountering the City. Urban Encounters from Accra to New York (Routledge, 2016).
