Summary

A young entrepreneur struggles with the challenges of both his business and his family

Harbour Lights Summary

Harbour Lights by Ian Searle

It's not every day that your father presents you with a tumbledown building and the funds to convert it into a hotel. It's not every day, either, that you learn his financial empire was built on theft. In this warm romantic story young entrepreneur Tom Hammond takes on the challenge but the struggle to survive and succeed in a small town community threatens to defeat him when major setbacks arise from his dysfunctional family. The experience affects his health and forces fundamental changes in his personal relationship.

About Ian Searle

Ian Searle had been writing, mostly short stories, since his first was published in Blackwoods Magazine in 1978, when, late in retirement, he began writing crime novels. His latest story Harbour Lights is not a murder mystery, however, but a heart-warming story which makes for easy reading. Ian spent much of his life in education and twenty years as a very active volunteer in retirement, including National Chairman of the U3A.
