More Frost and Snow: The Diary of Janet Burnet, 1758-95 by Janet Burnet
The diary of Janet Burnet is a family heirloom. Mowbray Pearson, to whom it descended, has transcribed this rare find from the 18th century, in which, unusually, the wife of a landowner records the Aberdeenshire weather month by month, decade by decade, providing in the process an account of its effects, both cruet and kind, on farm, household and surrounding countryside.
