About Kris Hirschmann

After working for a decade as a magazine and book editor, Kris Hirschmann embarked on a 20-year freelance career writing books for children and young adults. She is constantly inspired by her own children, who let her see the world through a child's eyes every day. She lives just outside Orlando, Florida.

Elisa Paganelli attended the Art Institute in her hometown of Modena, Italy before progressing to the European Institute of Design in Turin, where she studied illustration. She worked as a graphic designer for several years and set up her own award-winning design studio, Teapot Graphic Design, before following her true passion for illustration. She likes to draw accompanied by a cup of tea and her beloved pet-assistants.
