Accounting Skills Summary

Accounting Skills by Margaret Nicholson

This book aims to cover the requirements of the Royal Society of Arts Examination Board Book-Keeping Stage 1, Pitman Examinations Institute Book-Keeping and Accounts Elementary Stage and London Chamber of Commerce Industry Book-Keeping Elementary Stage. In addition, most of the requirements are covered at ordinary level of the various boards for the new General Certificate of Secondary Education and should prove invaluable in most foundation courses where certain aspects of accounting are required. The book aims to provide students with a sound understanding of both the theory and the practice requirements of basic accounting. Practical experience with the actual "mechanical operation" of book-keeping and the preparation of accounts is encouraged through the progressive modular approach. This contains a fully worked example to illustrate each new principle together with easy to follow instructions on how to enter and record the business transactions and are linked to provide continuous revison of topics covered.
