Recipes for Peace: Over 100 Recipes to Promote Peace in Ireland by Marie Roche
This is a collection of recipes with contributions from well-known personalities in politics, religion and the arts. The path to lasting peace in Ireland is a problematic one, but most people acknowledge that the key to its success lies with the children of Ireland. The Northern Irish charity, Children for Change, will be the recipient of the proceeds of this book, which arose out of a recent peace initiative. Leading world figures associated with the troubles in Ireland were asked to contribute recipes to show their support for peace. The level of response, across the political and religious spectrum in Ireland, the UK and America, is an indicator of the overwhelming desire for peace to succeed. Contributors include John Major, Bill Clinton, John Bruton, James Molyneaux, Gerry Adams, Peter Brook, Gloria Hunniford, Gay Byrne, Delia Smith, Michel Roux, Anton Mosimann, Sir John Harvey-Jones, the Dalai Lama, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Cardinal Daly and many others.
