Quilt It with Love: The Project Linus Story Reviews

Especially heartwarming are the letters included from recipients of these wonderful quilts and their families, as well as notes from those whose lives have been enriched by using their talents to brighten the spirits of children in crisis. --Machine Quilting Unlimited The quilts they [Balagna and Babbitt] gathered together for the book include ones with interactive designs that double as game boards or have pockets for storing toys. Some are crazy quilted, paper pieced, or appliqued; others stitch up quickly with strip piecing or precuts. The authors have also included quilts that make perfect guild or group activities. --Quilter Magazine Each quilt project has its own chapter. There is a gorgeous full color photograph of the quilting project featured along with a detailed list of supplies and directions for assembly. Also included are diagrams and photographs to explain the quilting process. Each project also has a guide to show how difficult the quilt is to make. I found this very helpful since I am still a beginner. I love reading the stories of the people who made the quilt and who it was gifted to. The quilts are really so much more than simple quilts. There are some that are game boards or have windows or pockets that open up. There are quilts with signature blocks sewn onto them that make them a wonderful keepsake. --BlogCritics.org
