Summary
This volume discusses furniture dating from 1760 to 1800, either wholly or partly in the neo-classical style. Robert Adam was the leading exponent of the style in Britain. At Osterley Park, on the Thames near London, between 1767 and 1779 he designed furniture for the state rooms.
