About Montagu of Beaulieu,Edward Douglas-Scott
Lor Montagu of Beaulieu went on his frist Brighton Run in 1950, in the family's 1903 De Dion Bouton, and has driven most years since. In 1952 he was inspired to form the Montagu Motor Museum and is now the founder and the Chairman of the Trustees of the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu which was opened in 1972. He is past President of the Historic Houses Association and of the Museums Association and is currently Chairman of English Heritage.
