Its aim is to help with the formulation of schemes of work for Key Stage 4 which enhance drama's place within the curriculum. The material has been devised to cover the skills required of GCSE candidates, but the book's intention is that all students of this age-group should enjoy the varied nature of the work. The emphasis is on improvization and interaction between students, but there is scope for other kinds of work required by GCSE syllabuses - discussion, written assignments, including research and reviews, and study of dramatic texts.
