This story based on the BBC children's series What's Inside?, is set in India and is in the form of a letter. Amar and Meera go to buy a birthday present for their mother. Their decision is whether to buy her a fish, a parrot or maybe a glass eye. When she unwraps her present, she gets the biggest surprise of her life.
