This is a selection of humorous writings from the Raj. It includes select pieces from books, journals and newspaper clippings of that period. The editor, a retired ICS officer posted in India for 19 years, has provided useful introductions to most chapters, based on his experiences and knowledge. The items are thematicallty grouped in chapters. Authors of the pieces range from Kipling to ICS officers and housewives.
