Robert's memoir also touches upon his life following his retirement in 1999. Robert is the author of a series of books describing the history, science, medicine, artistic representation and cuisine of various body parts which includes; Skin and Bones, Man and the Liver, Splancreas And other Offal, A Muscle Odyssey, Nephrosapiens - A History of Man's Thinking about the Kidney. About Robert D. Cohen

ROBERT D. COHEN is Emeritus Professor of Medicine in the University of London. He was educated at Plymouth and Clifton Colleges, and spent most of his career at The London Hospital - now The Royal London Hospital. He is the author of many papers and chapters in books and the writer or editor of several multi-author volumes on these topics. He lives in a small village a few miles north of Chichester.
