This is a guide to composing contemporary dance music with Cubase. Jungle, techno, house, garage and ambient hip-hop are all introduced and artists such as Orbital, Dave Angel and Alex Reece have made contributions. A CD-ROM and disk are included which contain Midi files, audio samples for jungle drum sounds, groove templates, mixer maps and demos of leading music software. Information for non-Cubase users is also provided covering chords, echoes, arpeggios, quantization and arrangement. The stylistic links and similarities between the various styles of dance music are covered along with the Internet's Midi and dance resources.
