Roland Harvey is one of Australia's favourite illustrators, loved for his humour and his intriguing, detailed artwork. In 1978, he established Roland Harvey Studios and began designing and producing greeting cards, posters and stationery with a distinctly Australian flavour. Ventures into publishing quickly followed. Roland's recent books include the bestselling At the Beach and In the Bush, and Roland Harvey's Big Book of Christmas. His illustrations also feature in My Place in Space (with Robin + Sally Hirst and Joe Levine), It's True! Burke + Wills Forgot the Frying Pan (by David Greagg), and the Bonnie + Sam series featuring the horses and ponies of Currawong Creek, in collaboration with Alison Lester. Roland was the recipient of the 2005 Dromkeen Medal.
