Former owner's pencil inscription to front free endpaper, with dark rubbing and a few small nicks along text block edge. Mild crinkling and cracking to gutters with exposed netting. Binding remains firm. Occasional grey thumb-marking and extensive pencil annotation present throughout. Pencil drawing to rear free endpaper. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with notable bumping and fraying to corners, and dark rubbing to surfaces. Heavy tanning to spine and edges, with visible crushing to spine ends. Large splits down joint with exposed netting. Book has a pronounced forward lean, with fraying to upper spine end.
