Contains black and white illustrated plates. Plates 27 and 54-56 are missing. Clean pages and illustrations with noticeable tanning and foxing throughout. Pencil markings to front free endpaper. Folded plate opposite Analysis of Beauty title page is half missing. Hinges heavily are cracked with exposed netting. Moderate cracking to gutters, with exposed netting. Top textblock edge dyed gilt. Binding remains firm. Boards have heavy edge-wear with bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends and rub wear all over. Gilt lettering is darkened. Moderate sunning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Front board is very loose from spine. Minor peeling to spine and corners. Visible wear marks to boards.
