About Ardal O'Hanlon

Ardal O'Hanlon was born in Ireland in 1966. He is best known for his role as Father Dougal Maguire in Channel 4's BAFTA-Award winning comedy, Father Ted, for which he won Top TV Comedy Newcomer Award at the British Comedy Awards. He is also a stand-up comedian and actor, has appeared in films including Neil Jordan's The Butcher Boy, and on TV's Big Bad World and Thermoman.
