Information is given on picots, tallies and venetian cords, together with plaits and braids. Other sections are devoted to carrying pairs, raised work, corners, curves and holes, endings, moving work under construction and the mounting of completed lace. Bridget Cook is a lacemaker, teacher and designer whose work is known from exhibitions, demonstrations and lectures throughout Britain and Europe.
