About C. Coleborne

CATHARINE COLEBORNEis Associate Professor of History at the University of Waikato, New Zealand. Her book Reading 'madness': Gender and Difference in the Colonial Asylum in Victoria, Australia, 1848-1880, was published in 2007. She is currently part of a new team project to investigate insanity and ethnicity in colonial Australasia.
