Clinical Pharmacy and Therapeutics Summary

Clinical Pharmacy and Therapeutics by Clive Edwards

Clinical pharmacy is a subject which is becoming increasingly important in the undergraduate curriculum. The Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain accredits degree courses in the 16 UK schools of pharmacy and now require that clinical pharmacy be a significant and integral part of the syllabus for the 1200 students who graduate each year. In addition, many now go on to take a postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy, particularly those intent on working in hospital pharmacy. This textbook covers all of the subjects currently included in the subject of clinical pharmacy. This text should help students and pharmacists to identify, understand and solve problems by selecting the appropriate drug therapy. It includes case histories which should encourage the application of the therapeutic principles outlined within the chapter.
